Join Master Chen Huixian for Chen-style fundamentals, detailed Laojia Yilu corrections, spear-form review, and push-hands practice in Shawnee, Kansas.

A weekend of concentrated practice
The workshop is designed for students who want more time for careful instruction, repetition, correction, and partner practice than a weekly class can usually provide.
Participants may attend a single session or the complete five-session weekend. Students of different experience levels are welcome, with each session centered on clear principles and practical improvement.

Five focused sessions across Friday evening, Saturday, and Sunday.

9:00 AM–12:00 PM · 3 hours

Refine posture, timing, transitions, direction, and internal connection through detailed corrections to the first half of the traditional long form.
2:00 PM–5:00 PM · 3 hours

Continue the correction process through the second half of the form, with attention to continuity, power pathways, rhythm, and martial meaning.
8:30 AM–12:30 PM · 4 hours
陈式太极枪复习
Review the Chen Taijiquan spear form, basic handling, body mechanics, transitions, and the coordinated expression of whole-body power through the weapon.
Participants should bring a suitable spear. A limited number are available for purchase.
2:00 PM–5:00 PM · 3 hours
推手
Explore listening skill, structure, balance, yielding, neutralization, and controlled issuing through progressive partner exercises.

Workshop instructor
Master Chen Huixian is a 20th-generation Chen family inheritor and 12th-generation direct-line successor of Chen-style Taijiquan. Her teaching combines precise traditional detail with a practical, approachable method for students at every stage of training.
